Amway Hotel Corp. owns two hotel properties – the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the JW Marriott Grand Rapids – and operates a third hotel property – Courtyard by Marriott – in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich. Our investment in these properties stems from our commitment to making the community in which we live and work a better place.
Amway Grand Plaza Hotel
The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel is a 682-room luxury hotel, fine dining, and retail complex that has inspired two decades of development and revitalized the historic downtown of Grand Rapids, Mich. Originally built in 1913 as The Pantlind Hotel – and once recognized as one of the finest hotels in America – the stately, four-diamond hotel was restored by Amway Corp. and reopened in 1981. In 1983 an adjoining 29-story glass hotel tower opened, combining the graceful heritage of The Pantlind with the modern amenities of the new tower. Today, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel provides excellence in hospitality for guests and serves as sign of renewal in the community.
JW Marriott – Grand Rapids
Part of the exclusive brand of upscale hotels designed to serve both business and pleasure travelers, the 337-room JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich. is 24 stories with an adjacent 700 space parking structure. The JW Marriott is owned and operated by Amway Hotel Corp., and is the first of its kind in the Midwest region. Opened in 2007, the hotel is situated near the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in the heart of the city. The JW Marriott highlights the city’s emergence as an international hub for medical, academic, design, and entrepreneurial ventures.
