Jim Weaver
Vice President, Managing Director – Alticor Corporate Enterprises
Jim Weaver is Vice President and Managing Director of Alticor Corporate Enterprises (ACE), a member of the Amway family of companies. He is responsible for managing the current portfolio of seven companies as well as directing all acquisition and corporate development activities for the corporation.
ACE is a holding company for health, wellness, beauty and technology companies, and is the division responsible for diversifying the corporations growth opportunities outside of the direct selling business. The division includes: Amway Hotel Corp. Fulton Innovation; Gurwitch Products, a luxury cosmetics and skin care company; and Metagenics, a leading manufacturer and distributor of nutraceuticals and medical foods to healthcare practitioners. It also holds significant investments in biotech firms Interleukin Genetics and Kindex Therapeutics.
Weaver joined Alticor in June 2007 from X-Rite, Incorporated, a global leading company in color measurement and management technology based in Grand Rapids, Mich. He held numerous leadership positions at X-Rite including Senior Vice President and General Manager, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development and Vice President of Business Development. He also was the lead executive on several acquisitions.
Weaver also founded and held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Bold Furniture Inc., a national marketer and manufacturer of office and home office furniture and accessories based in Spring Lake, Mich. In addition, he held executive leadership roles at Steelcase Inc., the world's leading marketer and manufacturer of office furniture, and Bissell Inc., a manufacturer of consumer electric and chemical products.
Weaver received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He also completed several executive educations course at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Weaver holds professional memberships in the American Marketing Association, the Product Development Management Association, and the Design Management Institute. He serves on several non-profit and private company boards.
Roger Colman
Vice President, Corporate Development
Roger Colman is Vice President of Acquisitions for Alticor Corporate Enterprises. He is responsible for leading acquisitions for the division and providing business partnership to acquired non-core entities.
Colman joined Alticor in 1994 and has held numerous positions. Colman most recently served as Vice President of Finance, overseeing corporate acquisitions. He has traveled to over 30 countries, assisting local operations in roles including business process improvement and strategic planning. Before joining Alticor, Colman was Director of Operations in the Readi-Bake division for Country Home Bakers of Connecticut.
Colman serves on the boards of Gurwitch Products, LLC, headquartered in Houston, Texas, and Metagenics, headquartered in San Clemente, Calif. He also is a board member of Junior Achievement of West Michigan, and a past board member of the Southwest YMCA Grand Rapids.
Colman received a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich.
David J. Tuit
Director, Finance & Operations – Alticor Corporate Enterprises
Dave Tuit is a Director of Alticor Corporate Enterprises, serving as CFO and COO. He oversees a team responsible for financial strategy, post-merger integration, and overall execution and management of investments and operations.
Tuit joined ACE in May 2008, with a range of expertise including financing and merger and acquisition transactions, operations planning and management, investor relations, crisis management, and corporate financial planning and reporting. Prior to joining Alticor, he provided financial, organizational, and strategic guidance as a CFO to three mid-sized companies, served as treasurer for a $3 billion publicly traded automotive supplier, and was Vice President and Controller for a $1 billion venture-backed retailer. He spent the first nine years of his career with the international accounting firm Ernst & Young.
Tuit serves on the boards of Gurwitch Products and Metagenics. He holds a
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Calvin College, and is a CPA and CMA.
His professional memberships include the Financial Executives Institute,
Institute of Management Accountants, and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA),
and he has held leadership positions on several community boards.
