A TIME OF TRANSITION
By the time we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2009, you'll know our company as a single entity, using one name: Amway.
Alticor Internship Program
Taking You From Good To Great
One of the best things you can do as a student to help your career is to get as much real-life experience under your belt as possible. And we think one of the best places you can do that is right here with Alticor or one of our sister companies — Quixtar, Access Business Group, and Amway.
Are you interested in applying the knowledge you've been learning in the classroom to a real work environment — while getting paid for it? If so, our award-winning Internship Program may be just the right opportunity for you. Through our program, you will have the opportunity to work on real projects that provide practical work experience to you and great value to our organization.
Through our Internship Program, interns:
- Are paid a competitive hourly wage.
- Are offered a housing allowance if they live over 50 miles from Ada, Mich., during a full-time internship.
- Can enjoy such amenities as product discounts at our Employee Store and access to our full-service Fitness Facility.
- Are each given a mentor who offers support through weekly, hour long meetings. In addition, mentors often become the intern's resource to network with individuals outside of their department.
- Are encouraged to participate in networking events including:
- The Reverse Career Fair - This provides interns with an opportunity to meet a large number of hiring managers in a short period of time, allowing them to openly discuss their project, and the value they could bring to our company.
- Bi-Weekly Meetings - VP's of various departments speak to interns about their role in the company, how they advanced to that position, and offer career advice that can be utilized in any company.
- Whitecaps Game - A trip to our minor league team allows informal networking among interns and their mentors.
- West Michigan Intern Olympics - Interns are given the opportunity to network with other young professionals in West Michigan, showing our interns the possibilities that West Michigan can offer.
- Lunch and Learns - Interns receive guided tours of R&D labs, marketing departments, manufacturing facilities, etc, to increase their understanding of our business.
*Note that interns do not receive healthcare or other full-time benefits.
What is an Internship / Co-op and who qualifies?
- Internship assignments are typically for a three-month period during the summer.
- Co-op assignments are either three- or six-month terms in which the student can receive class credit.
- Candidates must be authorized to work full time in the U.S., regardless of citizenship status.
- Candidates must be enrolled in a BS program in a relevant discipline, have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
