David Ussery

President and Representative Director

David Ussery serves as president and representative director of Amway markets in Japan and Korea. He is responsible for all areas of daily business operations for Amway Japan Limited (AJL) and Amway Korea Limited (AKL).

When he was named to lead both markets in April 2006, Ussery was more than prepared: He ran Amway Japan Limited from 2002 until 2005, and Amway Korea Limited from 1992-95 and 2000-02. Together, AJL and AKL recorded sales of more than $1.7 billion in fiscal 2004.

Ussery was also the president and general manager of Amway Philippines from 1995 to 2000, successfully establishing Amway in the Philippines and adapting the Amway business to the Filipino culture.

Ussery is an expert in the direct selling industry, with more than 50 years of experience. Prior to joining Amway in 1992, he was a 30-year veteran of Avon Products Inc., most recently as the Chairman of the Board of Avon Japan. With Avon, Ussery held many key management positions in Atlanta, New York City and Tokyo. He graduated from Georgia State University while working full time at Avon in Atlanta.
